Houston’s next hottest underground lyricist Pierré “Pierré D” Lindsay, was originally born in Houston and moved to Atlanta at the age of 5. Growing up in Atlanta, Pierré had no choice but to adopt the southern swag and lingo that gave him his lyrical delivery today. After graduating, Pierré started giving his music career 110%. His dad was a huge music head who kept his mind fresh and eager to explore different ideas, instead of just listening to what he was comfortable with during those times. Pierré became an artist to help people with their journey in life through his music. He managed to pick up numerous styles of legendary rappers in the game and mesh them with his own originality, being influenced by Biggie, Lil Wayne, UGK, and Out Kast, he developed his own unique sound.
“I have something to say that’s positive, I truly want to help people with their journey in life through my music.” – Pierré D
Pierré’s first time on a stage was at Club Numbers, courtesy of DJ Black D. His most memorable performance was his show at Warehouse Live. He is motivated by the support network of his family and close friends, who show unconditional love towards his career. This keeps him going through the good or bad. During his start, he struggled with confidence behind his career. Now he’s over confident from his fans feedback. Guests can expect to be entertained at his live performances, with uplifting, informative, and modern music tailored for all ages. His mixtape, “VE” (Vertical Elevation) should be on your radar.
Over the next five years, Pierré plans to transition to the business side of music. Lately, he has created a Houston-based tour for himself and a couple of other artists around the city, with plans on expansion across the country. Advice for the youth:
“Stop, make a plan and follow accordingly. Don’t get swayed by the images and lifestyles being projected to the youth today.” – Pierré D
